I think Clojure should be easier to use for beginners. But I'm skeptical this is the root problem because JS has become very hard to set up for beginners. Yet JS usage continues to grow--and get more difficult. Perceived value trumps ease-of-use.

Chestnut is also amazing. `lein new chestnut ...` and you basically have a server, framework+, react/spa style setup with hot reloading and all the other goodies, robustly set up. Webpack et al don't stand a chance, once you know what's going on

How do find out more? says struggling Clojure learner

Depends on what you know and what you need :) I suggest slack http://clojurians.net/ or https://clojureverse.org/ for specific questions, a good book or two for a foundation, and https://purelyfunctional.tv/courses/ for various goodies!
