And by the way, I'd love better error message in Clojure. I've made a few attempts but it is a /lot/ of work. I'm a little hopeful that spec will make some of the easy type-style errors more clear. But that, too, is a lot of work--speccing clojure.core.
The "System Paradigm" [http://dreamsongs.com/Files/Incommensurability.pdf …] should be emphasised more when teaching Clojure. A big part of what makes Lisp (and Smalltalk, and Haskell) mindblowing is how you approach problem solving.
