    Patients should be investors! With venture philanthropy entering its growth phase this decade (2010s featured the pioneers/early adopters) you can expect nonprofits to evolve into patient-led biotechs. At same time patients are monetizing themselves on platforms like

    Something metaphorical about & health innovations: companies just guess what patients want, launch products with little merit & high failure rate, and then dress it up in a top hat, call it patient-centered & market the heck out of it. Over & over. 🙃🙄

    Pro tip: During flu season, practice some key prevention tips: wash your hands, don't rub your face/eyes, cover your mouth when coughing/sneezing... and ask family members, co-workers, and friends to do the same!

    Your daily reminder that closed journal access is exclusionist, elitist, and actively works against patient engagement. Patients/caregivers living with these conditions deserve to know the science being written about them. Sincerely, No, I will not pay $35 for a 5 page PDF.
