What people will be talking about is this little ball of fun! A dip in the jet stream follows an arctic front late week. Coldest air of the season dives in Friday through Saturday. Doesn't look to stick around long... but temps could fall below zero Friday Night-Sat AM. #WBZ
Temps mainly in the 30s overnight with clouds around... Monday starts off dry, but a few rain/snow showers possible late (not amounting to much, perhaps patchy coatings in spots). Then cooler and drier midweek. #WBZ
With no snow expected before midnight, New York City (Central Park) will set a new record for the latest first measurable snowfall. The lack of snow so far this season along the I-95 metro corridor of the mid Atlantic into the Northeast has been extremely unusual.
Another mild day marked down... but at least it was dry considering we've picked up more than 5" of rain this month in #Boston.
The stretch continues... Tracking mild temps & rain chances for Sunday at 11 on #WBZ
Recent rain continues to push January precip totals above average...
*DROUGHT UPDATE* Finally, no drought or abnormally dry conditions for the state. #WBZ
A wintry mix falling in spots this evening and while it may be light, still limiting visibility at times. Here’s a look at the road conditions near Lawrence/Andover MA 10 min ago.
Winds will also ramp up tonight into Thursday. Gusts up to 50 mph could lead to pockets of tree damage and isolated power outages. Winds will also help push water up along the coast during the time of high tide. Coastal Flood Advisory for the South Coast and RI coastline. #WBZ
A burst of snow initially leading to slick conditions for the PM Commute, especially north and west, then a changeover to heavy rain. Winter Weather Advisories posted NW, Flood Watch SE. #WBZ
Another round of just about everything... Snow to Rain, heavy at times leading to low visibility and ponding on roadways... winds ramp up as well overnight, especially for SE MA. #WBZ
Praying for Duxbury. For this family and everyone who loves them. For police and EMS who, as always, run toward horror and keep doing their job - no matter what they find. For 2 preschoolers in heaven. Praying for this mom. Cover this and consume this with compassion 🙏🏻#wbz💔
Duxbury: Investigators found three kids in home with obvious trauma. A 5 year old girl, and 3 year old boy died. An 8 month old baby was flown to a Boston hospital. Their mother, who had apparently attempted suicide by jumping out of a window, was also taken to the hospital. #WBZ
Starting off with snowflakes before the transition to heavy rain tomorrow evening. Not expecting a lot, but some snowy PM travel before switching. #wbz
A pretty scene early this morning with this fresh frosting of snow. Still, this heavy, wet snow clinging to trees and power lines have left thousands without power. Over 16,000 customers are still w/o power as of 9:30 AM.
We are expecting snow during today's evening commute and driving conditions may be challenging. Please use public transportation or stay off the roads if you can to allow the City of Boston to plow and salt as needed throughout the storm.

⚠️ Please give yourself plenty of time and use extra caution during what could be a messy evening commute. You'll help to keep yourself and other drivers safe, as well as reduce the risk of power outages.
iPhone camera doesn’t do it justice but visibility is extremely low. There is another street directly behind those trees less than 500 yards and you can’t even see the houses/road behind there.
I haven't seen it snow this heavily in a long time. We picked up 2 inches of snowfall in Reading at 128/93 in under an hour. From Dad "Crawled from Seaport office to Reading; visibility immediately dropped to only the cars around you after you hit Middlesex Fells." #weatherwatch
Expect changing and poor road conditions along with limited visibility at times. This burst of snow will be impacting the area for the next few hours making it tough for commuters and school bus pick up. #WBZ
