What people will be talking about is this little ball of fun! A dip in the jet stream follows an arctic front late week. Coldest air of the season dives in Friday through Saturday. Doesn't look to stick around long... but temps could fall below zero Friday Night-Sat AM. #WBZ

Temps mainly in the 30s overnight with clouds around... Monday starts off dry, but a few rain/snow showers possible late (not amounting to much, perhaps patchy coatings in spots). Then cooler and drier midweek. #WBZ

With no snow expected before midnight, New York City (Central Park) will set a new record for the latest first measurable snowfall. The lack of snow so far this season along the I-95 metro corridor of the mid Atlantic into the Northeast has been extremely unusual.

Another mild day marked down... but at least it was dry considering we've picked up more than 5" of rain this month in #Boston. The stretch continues... Tracking mild temps & rain chances for Sunday at 11 on #WBZ

Winds will also ramp up tonight into Thursday. Gusts up to 50 mph could lead to pockets of tree damage and isolated power outages. Winds will also help push water up along the coast during the time of high tide. Coastal Flood Advisory for the South Coast and RI coastline. #WBZ

Praying for Duxbury. For this family and everyone who loves them. For police and EMS who, as always, run toward horror and keep doing their job - no matter what they find. For 2 preschoolers in heaven. Praying for this mom. Cover this and consume this with compassion 🙏🏻 #wbz 💔

A pretty scene early this morning with this fresh frosting of snow. Still, this heavy, wet snow clinging to trees and power lines have left thousands without power. Over 16,000 customers are still w/o power as of 9:30 AM.

Expect changing and poor road conditions along with limited visibility at times. This burst of snow will be impacting the area for the next few hours making it tough for commuters and school bus pick up. #WBZ
