Contrary to the myths: Only 2.8% of people in employment are on a zero hours contract & of these 2/3 do not want more hours.

.absolutly right for Conservatives to have put an end to zero hours contracts that prevented ppl working elsewhere. Labour failed to do so

.banning zero hours contracts altogether would deny this option to both the 2.8% of employees who use them & employers & put jobs at risk

I worked on a zero-hours contract throughout University. It gave me the flexibility I needed and never once did I feel exploited.

It also gave me real-world work experience whilst studying. I'm now a solicitor and wouldn't have got here w/o that experience.

I agree, I have also worked on a zero hours contract in the past but called it a flexible contract to fit in with studies.

Flexible work as a student are not the same - for ordinary hard working people who you claim to represent this is a poverty trap.

I think you are confusing flexi and part time working with zero hour contracts

and for those who don't want zero hours contracts and are unable to plan day to day? What measures will you take for those?

I've had a very useful zero hours contract that suited me but the unpredictability, exclusivity, do-it-or-leave ones need to go
