Sarah Wexler’s Tweets

I kind of bailed on Twitter a while back, only popping in from time to time for work purposes. I've met some very dear friends/made professional connections on here, and while I'm grateful for that, this site has long felt unusable to me, the stress outweighing the positive.

Andrew Friedman and Brandon Gomes appear reluctant to answer anything related to re-signing players, options getting picked up etc. They say that they didn't expect to be in this position so early and therefore haven't yet had those discussions internally in any real depth.

Andrew Friedman said this year's elimination is "probably" the most disappointing the Dodgers have had for him. Says every one is difficult, but he felt "way worse" Sunday than he expected and it hasn't quite hit an upswing yet.

Bob Melvin says Buck Showalter texted him congratulations after last night’s game. Melvin doesn’t intend to discuss the issue of checking Joe Musgrove’s ears for foreign substances with Showalter further, saying it’s “water under the bridge.”

Let's keep the support going! I'll be running her favorite half marathon in Disney to help raise money and awareness for ALS research. Some of it (she's fighting this) will go to Sarah. Any donation or RT will help SO much! #SarahStrong

Dusty Baker is a mensch.
Screenshot from the quote tweeted article:

Baker stopped by Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen here just before Yom Kippur ended to load up on food to help Jewish star Alex Bregman break the fast.

“He said he wanted to do something really nice for Alex and he bought a substantial amount of food,” Ziggy Gruber told the JHV. “I thought that was quite noble of him.

“Dusty eats here all the time and said it is one of his favorite places.”

Cole Irvin (3 ER, 4 IP, 77 pitches) is battling a sinus infection, part of why his start was cut short. "I just left pitches in the middle of a plate and got hurt by it, but I gave the team all I had. My energy was zapped after the fourth and Kots could see it." #RootedInOakland
