If the GNU project is sponsored, funded, and run by the @fsf (which their nonprofit paperwork implies), then Stallman cannot continue to run it.

Looks like its a fiscally sponsored project of FSF. Which means that GNU is basically FSF and must further the mission of FSF. We generally have independent advisory committees for our sponsored projects. But still must have oversight from nonprofit board...
