Funny how Stallman dudes REALLY want to nitpick legalities and word choice...right up until I point out that Minsky having sex with a 16-year-old girl is legally rape, no matter how “willing” (ew) she appeared.
Then all of a sudden everything can be fudged 
"legally rape" -- exactly the kind of thing Stallman was pointing at. Rape is rape, it isn't supposed to mean something different based on technicalities. The question he asked was how can we say he raped her after we check and confirm what her age is.
Personally I think he shouldn't have waded into this discussion. But he did, as he usually does, also considering the fact that this was about HIS FRIEND Minsky.
But that doesn't mean he had an insidious agenda. Sadly, that is how it is being portrayed.
