EXACTLY. He’s been doing this for 30 years. He’s gotten repeated feedback and coaching from dozens of people (that I know of, and I assume many more besides).
If the @fsf board cannot do their job & remove him after THIRTY YEARS OF EXCLUSIONARY BEHAVIOR, then they should resign.

This. I've personally seen this in organizations. Refusing to remove toxic people from positions of power is effectively banning good people. I mean that: They leave, and they don't come back. There is no universe where this problem can be fixed and RMS can be president of FSF.

Idk about the specifics of this case but FSF is a weirdly cultish sausagefest, even compared with the rest of a very weird industry.
