        This is a wonderful idea! Do you have a sleeper car? The best part.of the Zephyr will be the between SF and Denver. You'll have a great time in the observation car looking through the canyons, and listening to the narration.

        I’ve done that ride and it is great! They have people from the Sacramento train museum join and ride until Reno while they talk about the history of the railroad on that stretch of the Sierras.

        have a great trip! i’ve taken the train denver to glenwood. i like to bring my fav snacks, my journal, and some books. the cars with the big windows are worth it to sit and watch the scenery along the way.
