I appreciate you mean well w/this, but a lot of these suggestions just won't work well for women here. Work as your social hub isn't great, traveling w/o headphones invites unwelcome (then hostile) comms, engaging w/homeless can be unsafe. I do <3 tips about exploring & chatting.

Totally. I was suggesting the opposite of work as your social hub, fwiw. I actually thought to myself “unless you’re a woman” when I wrote those two. I probably should’ve said that.

Yes. You should have. If I were you, I’d add it on to the end of the thread. Without, it sounds awfully arrogant.

fwiw, I’ve been here 20 years, my kids have gone through elementary & middle school with sfusd, and I’d give totally different advice. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ha ha if I wanted to give advice I would have! Just saying that there are many ways to enjoy the city, and perhaps also saying that the make-centric version you are asserting is not a common experience.

*male-centric. Heh! Thx autocorrect, pointing out quite rightly that I don’t engage with misogyny much anymore. I will stop now. Have a nice evening!
