Lots of interesting discussion around this. It seems like the underlying question is, “can you handle work stress or money stress more easily?” (thread)https://twitter.com/marthakelly/status/1125536070852960256 …

But stress seems to come out of the same well. It’s just that money stress draws two buckets where equivalent work stress will draw one. So if I can lower my money stress, it’s like I can take on 4x more stress at work, if that makes sense. That’s just how my brain works.

Anyway I’m sure there are people out there who are champs at handling money without feeling like a failure, but who for whatever reason have a super hard time with work stress. They are probably going to answer this question differently than I do

The interesting part, for me, is that it’s really hard to imagine how that would work. Like...I literally can’t imagine what it would feel like to be good with money. It’s stressful to me even when I have enough of it. It’s horrifically stressful when I don’t have enough.

Money stress = can't pay bills, end up on the street starving. Work stress = gradually break your physical & emotional health and die earlier than you should from disease brought on by stress. I'd pick work stress because I think I'd live longer. I'd die early both ways though.
