well folks it's official i have discovered that everything is a distributed system problem and therefore i will be taking any opportunity to turn everything into a distributed systems joke
Realized recently that even UI is a distributed systems problem, especially when you want it to work offline o_0

Yes. It's AP system: Availability: you always have to render something to the user. Partition tolerance: the user will disconnect all the time.

Yup. That means you give up on C, consistency. For folks used to treating UI like a static representation of what’s in the database, that can be a hard transition.
