A parent preventing their child from being vaccinated should be reported to Child Protective Services. It should trigger mandatory reporting for teachers, counselors, & doctors. Quite an authoritarian hot take. How do you define unvaccinated? Some vaccines are hardly necessary (rotavirus). Also, research is indicating that chickenpox vaccine increases chance of adult shingles. I opted to skip these for my child but got polio, MMR, etc.

That’s true. Scientific consensus is that you should also get flu shots, and girls should get HPV. That list is a minimum.
