I've been trying to tweet saying I really enjoyed this and it got me thinking about the thing that annoys me so much about current entertainment & makes me lose interest, but twitter has REFUSED to send it you, oh well

Ok, so one thing that has ruined entertainment for me, especially in the era of 'shared universes' is how NOBODY DIES ANYMORE. Seriously, there's never any closure. There's very rarely any reckoning with the consequences of actions because characters are immortal

Like, there's no threat in tv/cinema anymore, because even in shows which are brutal and kill favourites, they're resurrected, or seen to have escaped death, because they're fan favourites.
