I honestly don’t get the assumption that everyone criticising the Soho images are doing it out of snobbery. I genuinely just think most people are scared

Do you think it's perhaps more a view that the criticism is misplaced? Not so much that some think it snobbish, just more, why criticise a population for indulging in something the government have, if not actively at the v least implicitly, encouraged?
I guess I think it’s a bit of both. I do think a lot of people think what you’re suggesting, but I do think a lot of the people I’ve seen commenting seem to think it’s just born out of snobbery tbh

Fair. If the pandemic has proven anything I'd say it's that conflicted feelings, hypocrisy and do-as-i-say-and-not-as-i-do are, well, all very human things (and also kind of okay to accept that and admit to it).
