I honestly don’t get the assumption that everyone criticising the Soho images are doing it out of snobbery. I genuinely just think most people are scared

The protests saw lots of distancing and masks, Bournemouth too. This won’t just be one night, but presumably several nights a week, indefinitely. It’s not a criticism of the people out tonight but of a risk the government is taking and the way this is different from times before

We saw the effect of the protests and ensuing relaxation (100+ deaths a day still) now these pictures come out when we know it’s happening in every town, village, city up and down the country. Everyone’s back to normal. I’m terrified for when the temperatures drop later this year

It's a worry that nearly everywhere else that has opened pubs and restaurants had enough of a spike in cases that they almost immediately U-turned on it, but here we go anyway, from a much worse position than most.
