While I somewhat agree, is this not trying to reshape an already extreme imbalance? Lots of people currently live in London only for their job (hi) and hate it - isn’t this decision at least helping to fix that? Agree it should be both, but I don’t get why this is so wrong

I guess my concern is the idea that they couldn't hire people already in those places instead of or alongside the people who had to go down to London seems to be absent from the whole thing

I do get that but it seems logical? We’re in a recession so hiring is likely not a big possibility for some places and with more people at home you realise the (dumb) idea that everything needs to be in London is bullshit. Not defending the publisher lol but just makes sense imo!
