Two of my friends who are also quarantining have been contacted by the Gesundheitsamt: As not to contaminate the health care workers, the at-home tests are being delivered to our doorsteps for us to complete in our flats before returning them to our doorsteps for collection

Just received my call—a Gesundheitsamt representative will deliver my swab in about half an hour, at which point I'm meant to rub it to the left and the right of my uvula for 10-15 seconds before returning it to the representative at my doorstep.

German offices are slowly opening with designated areas where people can and cannot sit, as well as limits to the number of people present at a time. That said, a friend with whom I was in contact on Thursday has been banned from their office until my test comes up negative lol

Gotta say there is a unique charm to a medical courier standing at your door explaining in German that "if you gag, take a minute to breath then try again"
