like i obviously get that whatsapp would never do this. but i think it's possible and that much of the infrastructure already exists (and that they should)

infrastructure is probably the wrong word - i mean that the mechanism exists to highlight which messages are being forwarded X number of times. then they would have to implement a moderation-esque team to look at those on their own + remove the ones that say 5g causes coronavirus
