So I was meant to go to Mykonos in 2 weeks (lol). Airbnb have offered EITHER full amount in Airbnb credit, or half the amount in cash (our original cancellation policy). easyJet will only waive fee to reschedule, not allow cancellation.

I'd rather cancel overall because I honestly have no idea when we'd be able to travel again, but this is going to add up via insurance excess fees. Or do we just take the credit, push the flights to as far away as possible and cross that bridge when we come to it?

I think maybe somewhere in between - take the Airbnb credit and cancel the flights? Absolute nonsense neither are giving you a full refund tho

Yeah, I was happy to take the half and use my insurance on the rest because I'd only be out of pocket for £19, but then with flights too it all kind of adds up. With credit, I'm just mindful that while it's valid for 20 months, I have no idea when next I'll be able to use it?

i fear i'm going to eat these words, but my logic is that it seems like worst case projections are this lasts til spring 2021 - so even if you couldn't go on holiday til august 2021, you'd still be able to use it. that way you don't lose ALL your £ and just take a hit on flights

Your rationale is sound, I'll only round on you if Airbnb goes under in the next year
