Is bullet journalling any good? (I am a chronic list-maker, and a terrible list-finisher, so I need to bully myself into being more organised.)

i think as long as you don't do that ott brushlettering, watercolour painting, fancy doodling thing, it can be unintimidating and very practical! I do a basic version and track my exercise and water intake and it really has helped me stay on track with work/get healthy

It looks very pretty, but seems to be more art project than timesaver. I have taken to leaving some blank pages at the start of my notebooks to track things, but mostly I just make lots and lots of to-do lists.

the prettiness is a co-option of what bullet journalling actually is! it's understandable why anyone would think this because instagram is inundated with extreme, aesthetic-driven bullet journals. but the reality is just an unglamorous organisation system vs insta colour + design
