This erases and ignores the work of the World Service who primarily engages audiences between 18 and 24 and provide life saving information for young communities that have no access to any other form of media. Our reporters & their families endure daily threats to their lives.

hey! i obviously massively rate you and would have gone into the great work you're doing (your stories on young lesbians using social media was amazing last year, plus loads of others), it was just a matter of word count and linking specifically to social media

Social media in which countries and which language? Our work is translated to 41 langs reaching, underserved communities - lgbt & other - whose lives are literally at risk. You mean a western audience with privileged access? I think not even considering that is so upsetting.

this was pegged to a uk audience, i definitely wouldn't be qualified to write about the reach the it has in other languages/other parts of the world. i'm really sorry it didn't mention your work, and i'd be really keen to research and write about the reach its getting elsewhere

I'm confused by your statement that The Next Episode "has fallen flat". Just as Megha mentioned the communities worldwide that the BBC reaches, TNE has told stories & built trust in communities in the UK that the BBC hasn't reached before, so how could that be seen as a failure?

The Next Episode was nominated for an Aria (the industry’s Oscars) last week.

That is not evidence it hits well with teens! I think they do great stories - I just don’t see under 20s really engaging
