Ok so I really want a dog. But I live alone in a flat in the city. I live close to lots of parks, but are the circumstances right for a dog?

HELLO: many dogs are absolutely fine in situations like yours! As long as you don’t get a fucking horse and you’re committed to doing big walks on the weekends and most weekdays, I don’t think you have a problem (also take advantage of that home ownership)

So the leasehold says no pets BUT I've seen like 20 dogs in the building so either everyone flouts it, management don't care, or there's a sweetheart deal to be struck. But yeah I'll take it on a run with me daily and Blackheath is only 2km away, plus Thames Path on my doorstep

I think my main worry is leaving it alone 10-12 hours a day. My flat is of decent size, but still... How often is Martha left alone?
