totally empathise with this as an ex-comms person. i just think being like "this is fine, you don't understand social media!" is a) wrong and b) excuses potentially dodgy shit elsewhere

The bookmark function has become my go-to now. As well as having another alt account.

like i think the crucial point is that standards for an ""impartial"" broadcaster are not the same as normal people? like sure, it's easier to just smash the like! but maybe a second click or two isn't a good enough reason to not do it if you're the bbc?

I have never used the like as a bookmark. The rebranding from favourite star to like heart subconsciously made it that I like things I like or find funny, and if they're really good I'll retweet too
