Something I’ve been wondering is if to some extent it’s a generational thing? There seems to be a mindset amongst some that sees twitter almost like a notebook rather than an output in and of itself

I guess once you start, where do you stop? If they start to penalise senior people for things like this, they'd have to explain why they've let so many similar things go in the past. So easier for them to ignore it.
