I heard it as the former - I don't think it sounds like 'talent', but I do have quite large ears... You're right that they'll try to spin it to their advantage here - but isn't it also true that people could ENTIRELY BELIEVE he said 'colour' and that's problematic?
G*ido F*wkes slowed down the audio and I think it's pretty undeniable that he said talent - it's that posh, not pronunciated speech that obscures it so badly. It's a mess
(I like what you did at the start there) I haven't seen that, and I'm not going to look for GF's stuff - I'll take your word for it! But as I say - isn't part of the problem that we can entirely believe that he said colour?
I've just seen that clip... and it's possible that I heard what I wanted to hear, but it didn't sound like 'talent'. To be fair, it didn't really sound like 'colour' either. Why are our politicians so awful...?!
