I'm actually fucking fuming. Boris Johnson is absolutely abhorrent and shit like this is only going to play into his hands. Now he'll get to say "oh look the media want to paint me as racist when I'm actually not!" What a clusterfuck this election has been from our broadcasters

Clarification: people are still hearing "colour" and not "talent" in the clip, so going to delete my tweet being unequivocal about it. I think more evidence stacks up for the latter and the point stands that the Tories will use this to their benefit, which is fucking awful

I've watched it a half dozen times now and he definitely says colour? I feel like 'people of talent' is utterly bizarre phrasing, and I can clearly hear the 'k' sound of colour at the start. No doubt they've been bullied into accepting otherwise by CCHQ.
