      The BBC's response of effectively doing "im not owned! im not owned!" and doubling down on this is also super disappointing! They should just get someone to do a real explainer on the next episode of Brexitcast and admit they fucked up

      Yep. The reason they misinterpreted it is because they lifted - pretty much word for word - the definition of “shitposting” from Wikipedia. Which is the peak boomer place to look for clarity and definitions on internet subculture 🤦🏽‍♀️
