(On a more serious note - surely you START with asking ‘do you mind if I ask you a personal question?’ If this isn’t the level of DM banter you usually have - as opposed to the more banal ‘hey fuck your feelings on this I’m asking a personal question’)
yeah and i'd argue that even then this is the kind of thing you just dont ask someone? if they wanted you to know, they would let you know/even with shitloads of qualification for why you were asking "i saw this tweet and thought i should check!") it's still too invasive
