Hello #Edinburgh people - we have a few hours this afternoon in the centre that *ideally* we’d spend somewhere with comfy sofas, tea, reading our books. Like a comfy coffee shop or hotel lounge or something. Any ideas?

HELLO. my fave places are: Door 127 on George Street is new and sick for coffee (pastries are a bit meh but the coffee + interior are brilliant) Under The Stairs in Grassmarket is technically a bar but has the cosiest interior Always a fan of Artisan Roast and Peter's Yard
okay i see heather has also recommended door 127! (which is the eden locke coffee bar) i'd go there and it's seemingly empty in the day

I always forget it's not actually called Eden Locke! And in lieu of the (seemingly disappointing) pastries, the vegan crumble slice thing is actually very good if they do have it in!
