I went on this two years ago, and some truly amazing things came out of it. Not only @ShaunAlex87's vlogs, but Lyra's TED talk, @HMCato's amazing photographs, not to mention my documentary on LGBT gun use.

@sarahmanavis - over a million people have watched my videos on this particular series. Maybe that’s small by some standards, but well worth the ratio of dollars spent / return received for the US Embassy.
Yes in no way saying it’s not! I’m just shining a light on these practices and the motivations from the US gov side, not the influencers.

Ok, got ya. In the past the US Embassy - as well as others - have run similar all expenses paid exchange programmes for small business owners, journalists and other groups. I guess the modern progression of this is “influencers”
