Also like, (not to get to OTT about it) if you read that book after The Year of Magical Thinking, it’s very clear that it’s not a memoir about an incredibly challenging period of time. It’s literally a woman having a mental breakdown on paper after the unimaginable happened

TBH though I do enjoy reading about a dense thread of grief unravelling a person's whole world while moisturising with fancy lotions, so it's impossible to say if it's bad or not.
