How to pitch properly!! Wish I had been told that on my journo course - loads about grammar & nothing about pitching. Still learning how...
I'm doing a talk on Friday (among other far more talented writers) for students who are trying to get into journalism. So, please tell me: If you're a student/young person who wants to become a writer, what would you want to know/what would be helpful to know from me?

I found that someone telling me the very basic stuff was really helpful: how long to wait before pitching elsewhere, what point you should ask for a fee, how much time should you leave between pitches to the same place.

agh this is a good one. even 18 months ago i was like "what is the fucking lingo for this??? how am i supposed to just inherently know???"
