My dog Amy loves my v-shaped pregnancy pillow so I gave it to her and just bought myself a new one! Now she sleeps with that on a large rectangular dog cusion bed and she loves it. You can get the pregnancy pillows for a few quid on Amazon. Good luck!

Our spaniel is in a crate for that reason

crate didn't work out for us and i know she'll likely still come up on our bed, but i still want to give her a better dog bed experience (i think hers is probably too small and she slept on a big one at the dog sitters')

Get a large dog bed. Most dog beds are too small. They like a bit of space to call their own.
