literally people from london and, frankly, anywhere in southern england should get a fucking grip and realise you don't have to inhale poison all day and pay £1500 pcm to live just to have multiple cuisines and art galleries
Look, I get why people move here. This country is fucked in that one city has all of the major industries and it's hard to avoid living here (also obv implications if you aren't white as other places are less diverse/more racist). But a lot of you just have stockholm syndrome

yeah dude i know, i only started working "in the media" 6 months ago. i have friends across all industries (health, arts, finance, policy, charities, etc) and they all think they'll have to move to london, unless they choose to sacrifice their career to avoid it

(There is absolutely a problem in the UK that has not been addressed about the opportunity infrastructure of the UK since the Second World War that speaks volumes as to a legacy of poor investment. I cite, for instance, the terrible pace of high speed internet outside of London)
