consider this my way of marking the upcoming 100th anniversary of the end of the war to end all wars

it's gonna go like this: the Allies will have four groups, each with four competitors: a group of Brits, a group of Russians, a French group, and an 'others' group: same for the Central Powers, with Germans, Austria-Hungary, Ottomans, and 'others'

the four Allied winners will then play off to be the Allied champion, same with the four Central Powers winners: the two winners will then face off for the crown

i will be using their facial hair /as it was during the war/. leaders who later developed impressive styles, or had them before the war, will not be considered. if you have suggestions for inclusion, supply them to me now

right, ok, starting this tomorrow unless one of you stops me first
