I know that’s fucking obvious, and I don’t even know what I’m trying to accomplish with what I’m posting here, but most of this stuff just makes you feel numb watching it from abroad. But today is a breakthrough of truly feeling the full weight of “the world is going to end”

Everything about this administration has been horrendous, especially the treatment of minorities, immigrants, and women. But I guess in my head i was like “this will destroy lives now but silver lining eventually it will end and the effects will be undone soon(ish)”

I’ve been vocally critical of my home country since before I left it six years ago — and I mostly don’t miss it. But today, like that day last January, I’m beyond the point of being critical; just wholeheartedly mourning the place it was before I left.

I don’t know what I’m trying to accomplish with these tweets other than to just purge out the raw fucking feeling that the country I grew up in is about to do something that will lead to people dying and there’s absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop that
