Not in the "qUoTe TwEeT tHiS wItH" way, but I would like to know if people have a story where their parents embarrassed them/punished them in a way that was so substantial, they literally never got into trouble ever again

My mom owned me in a way that was so brutal when I was 15 that I literally never did anything to disobey her ever again. It was honestly a mega move in parenting and it's taken me nearly ten years to not feel deeply embarrassed when we tell the story
