Interesting, I thought it was the opposite but I realized it was mostly because I looked at the top, constructive comments which were more on the level. It makes since that the misogyny was higher in volume but less visible due to hidden posts or low scores.
If most of reddit is male it’s probably that most posters are men. They’re probably going to post themselves in a good light and people (who are mostly men) will agree with them. You could probably find the opposite on female dominated websites. This doesn’t mean anything.
This could really just say "How Reddit sides with men", and still be correct. Every time I go on Reddit, I'm quickly reminded why I stay away. The omnipresent misogyny that permeates Reddit is nauseating.
