I hate having to walk on eggshells when talking with British people, don’t blame me if my nation figured it out how to communicate without beating around the bush and being passive aggressive. Do better.

We brits hate it too, despite all being complicit 
It’s so hard to know how people actually feel, which makes it hard to ever truly feel at ease with others. It’s also just exhausting, having to treat every conversation like a game.

I never truly felt at easy with anyone (thank you social anxiety) but I never questioned myself this much. It’s like every conversation is a dark room and the floor has loads of passive aggressive holes and the only way to seeing where you are going is setting fire to it

If it helps, many of us appreciate it when others break the mould and say exactly what they think. It can take us some getting used to, but it’s a breath of fresh air. So IMO, don’t try to play the game. Be yourself. Those who stick around are the ones worth keeping around.
