Writing in a character's voice is extremely similar to acting, for me. I get in the character's head, feel what they're feeling, and then write the lines. Seems to work pretty well for me. Any other writers do the same? Or perhaps even something different?
Yep. I have an acting background so it comes pretty naturally to me. I'll also act out the character's voice best I can when reading the lines, which I do pretty much as I'm writing. Really helps!
