Asking because in about 75% of instances I get physical symptoms seemingly out of nowhere and it just takes me by surprise because thought-wise I’ll be fine. I get this like... every other day? Every few days? Is that normal?

I’m talking: - Sicky, tangled feeling in my torso - Hyperawareness of/sensations around my heartbeat - Tightness in my throat - Unconscious teeth grinding -> jaw tension -> headaches

For me, it started linked to thoughts when I was younger and had more intense but sporadic crises. Today, after dealing with it for years, sometimes is just the sensations... low energy, sadness and chills over the body. Without a single thoughtt that triggered. Weird, right? Hah

Yeah I think mine used to be more thought-based too. Maybe that’s just how it evolves over time 0.o

My experience of anxiety is very much: something feels physically wrong --> cue anxious thoughts about my health/having anxiety --> physical sensations get worse --> spiral. And it's been that way as long as I remember

Oh I feel this! Now that I know my weird heart sensations are anxiety it’s because circular — if I’m anxious, I think about my heart and it starts playing up. If my heart plays up, I think about anxiety and it gets worse.

For me, it's almost always out of nowhere. And often it's the physical symptoms that make me go hmmm am I anxious about something right now? Usually, the answer is yes. But other times, I'm just like wtf why is this happening now.
