Were they really bad people?

They conspired in the assassination of their group’s former leader and his kid ward, my character’s little brother, for whose freedom she’s spent her entire life trying to earn via less than ideal means. Two had their own families threatened, but the third did it for money.

See? Bad people, a painful death is within reason. Maybe flaying is a _little_ extreme, but it was a most beloved brother and (revered?) leader. Flawed, dark, not _too_ evil.

Yeaah I felt a little bad afterwards but I was on the spot and a normal, quick death felt too boring hahaha. Plus I needed something slow and harrowing to happen to the first two that the third one would have to watch to make their own fate more terrible.

Also I promised to protect and care for the families of the first two before I flayed them. Was aiming for a Stannis-esque give-and-take-away approach. Maybe went overboard on the take away part.
