Character creation is the highlight of most RPGs. Give me a game which is literally just that and I will sink every hour that remains to me in this life.

I’m saying this as someone who has maxed the character limit for a bunch of MMOs I didn’t care for and who stops playing Sims at the ‘now play it’ part

We are planning to add an in depth character creator to our platform at some point, so I'm curious: is it just about creating characters that makes it fun for you, or would you like something to be done with those characters? Be it with or without your input?

For me it’s straight up just the opportunity to exercise creativity and create a person. The more I can tweak, the closer I can get them to my vision...

As someone who gave up art a long time ago, I basically use character creation tools in games as ways to realise the characters in the stories I write. And the gameplay almost always dissatisfies me because it doesn’t match the story in my head. So bit of a specific case there.
