Basically, big difference because a large, uncaring company using it to punish people for things that don't tow the company line VS a small, caring company in a precarious decision using it to protect other employees from the consequences of one person who legitimately fucks up.
Most companies I've worked for have insisted you have it if you wanna say anywhere on your account that you work for them (which I've personally found advantageous). I'd be super suspicious of any company demanding it regardless though.

Really fair point, and I agree, I think it’s really important for small/medium game studios to protect themselves, especially on the industry we work with and how many scandals we actually have a week (too many)
