Lukewarm take: Stories where the heroes prevent disaster are disappointing. I wanna see what happens when they fail. I wanna see that disaster play out.

Normalise fictional tragedy lol
I guess what I’m thinking of is that big tragic moment in FF7R, or the first episode of AOT. It’s a massive tragedy, HUGE, but the fate of the world is still to play for. And I care more about the world now because I’ve seen what can happen.

Oh my gosh yes. I hate the magic erase button. The consequences should be real and felt. Like there can still be hope, but make that hope earned.
