I'm with you just so long as real people turn out to be just as incompetent as the AI, because that was what really ruined standalone Gwent. They took away my ability to cheese with spies and decoys and replaced it with Intelligent Life.

this is me when i started pvp yugioh and realized that it was a lot less fun than playing against the AI

No spoilers, but you'll come to a small part of Valhalla where *for narrative reasons* combat becomes super easy. The takeaway is supposed to be that it's unsatisfying, but it was my favourite part of the game. One-shot slicing baddies in half.
