Cognitive functions. The biggest difference between Te/Ti/Fe/Fi is not the T/F head-heart distinction, but actually the E/I. An "I", whether F or T, will stand up for their beliefs, but an "E" will sacrifice them. It's then just whether those beliefs prioritize feelings or logic.
That's not to say that I is superior to E. It's not, nor is it inferior. The world needs both types. Judging Is value truth to themselves, or to a fact or principle, above anything else, including the way it affects others. Judging Es sacrifice that truth for the greater good.
Not expecting this to get any engagement. I'm enthusiastic about this topic, but I usually only discuss it with friends; I'm not known or followed for it on Twitter. Maybe nobody knows what I'm even on about. But oh well. Shower thoughts.
Looking at Grant's work on ambiverts and the studies around general population levels of E/I, what would you say the people in the middle are most likely to do?
It's a spectrum, but personally I believe that the e and i in reference to cognitive function has very little to do with social energy, as the terms are more commonly used. So for the purpose of discussion, I'll set sociability aside.
