Seems I just have a fear of prose, not writing itself? Well, writing in my preferred medium will allow me to focus on my main strengths (such as dialogue) and map out the skeleton of my story. The parts that scare me can come later, once I have more words to work with.
i love screenplaying-out the dialogue first! i can't believe i didn't think to suggest this earlier. it helps me cover a wide swath of how the scene is supposed to go, and then i can go back and worry about prose/narration later.
